Just stumbled across your blog. Interesting illustration about odds of dying. I'm sure they are related to the chances of participating in some of the activities. For example, I'm sure your odds of dying in a bicycle accident are much greater (compared to the odds posted) if you ride a bicycle regularly (most people don't). Then again, if you ride regularly, you're risk of dying from heart disease likely goes down much more than your risk of dying in a bicycle goes up. So keep riding! By the way, I live in Salem, OR but was born and raised in San Jose!
